Late-blooming artist, Susan Schanerman, will have her original drawing "Face Of The Sun" featured on the CBS Sunday Morning Show on Sunday, May 6, 2018 immediately following the Steve Hartman segment. After learning that not only are some people homeless but hungry as well, four year old Austin Perine (with his parents' support of course) sporting a red superhero cape, gives chicken sandwiches and drinks to the homeless in his hometown of Birmingham, AL. Wise, light years beyond his age, when asked by reporter Steve Hartman why he does it, he simply states, "You know Mr. Steve, it's just the right thing to do!" As he hands each person their sandwich, he reminds them, "Don't forget to show the Love" and indeed that is what this amazing 4 year old is doing!! A precious jewel, in an otherwise dark world, Austin proudly declares "Feeding the homeless is the highlight of my life!!"...

What: Solo exhibit featuring the artistic accomplishments of 70 year old Susan Schanerman. An artist and writer who has overcome many obstacles in her life stemming from a paralyzing case of polio at age 7, Susan considers herself “a very late bloomer.” She didn’t pick up her first paint brush until 1995 . . . and then it took another 20 years to “put herself and her work out there.”
Susan’s work, or heART, as she likes to call it, is playful, whimsical, uplifting, inspiring and FUN. She uses vibrant color and the child-like tone speaks for the child within us all . . . the child who still knows freedom, innocence and joy . . . “I can only hope that my heART can add just a little bit of light and joy to a very dark world.”
Susan’s heART is now her passion. She believes there is creativity in us all. It’s our very nature and acts as a means of communication, heart to heart, soul to soul. In 2004, Susan came up with the idea of heARTmatters:...

Dear Susan - I just wanted to quickly let you know that I received your handmade cards in the mail. I dont check our mailbox all of the time, so I apologize if you sent them last week and now I just opened them.
